Students' Obligations
Pre-Kinder, Kindergarten, Elementary and High School students have the following obligations:
- Respect their teachers, classmates and the School’s personnel.
- Participate responsibly in educational activities.
- Care for the School’s rooms, workshops, equipment, furniture and other facilities.
- Give priority to their school work, in order to successfully finish the school year.
- Arrive by 8:15 a.m., before classes begin. Tardiness will be recorded in the Lesson Book.
- Show discipline and respect by greeting when entering the classroom.
- Bring the “Lesson Book” everyday, in which the following are recorded: assignments, justifications, summons, permissions and other observations made by teachers or authorities, and must be reviewed and signed every day by a parent or guardian. If it is misplaced, report it to the tutor immediately.
- Attend school with the proper uniform. Pre-Kinder students will attend with the Physical Education uniform year-round.
- Mark the inside of all uniform garments with their name, grade and section to facilitate identification.
- Keep school supplies properly lined, in good condition, and labeled with their names.
- Cooperate with the educational process by keeping their notebooks up to date and doing their assignments.
- Use the Physical Education uniform only on days when they have PhysEd class.
- Use the bathrooms and facilities corresponding to their grade.
- Attend and participate responsibly in all scheduled activities, displaying the proper conduct throughout.
- Participate in School Civic Calendar activities.
- Go to their classrooms during class changes, without causing disorder.
- Remain within the designated recreation spaces during recesses.
- Not enter the teachers’ lounge or offices without authorization.
- Behave properly on school transportation and wait for it at the designated place on time.
- Deliver notices and/or summons to parents on time and return signed slips.
- Remain within School during class hours, with permission to leave only if justified in case of illness.
- Eagerly and responsibly participate in team work.
- Always use appropriate language.
- Raise the school’s prestige by participating responsibly in educational, civic and extracurricular activities (ADECOPA).
- Formulate their own School Rules with the guidance of their teachers and form tutors.
- Attend classes regularly (30% unjustified absences of class hours and calendar days disqualifies the student from passing the year school).
- Overcome probation status by obtaining a passing grade in conduct of 13 at the end of the school year.
- Observe the School’s regulations and other rules.
